  • Gluten-free and Nut-free (minus pesto). Lovely breakfast and a tasty oat milk latte.

  • Had the smashed avocado with poached egg - it was on lovely soft toast (so much better than sourdough IMHO!). Tasted great. Husband had a falafel wrap which he rated highly. Tropical smoothie was great. We liked it all so much we stayed for a coffee and piece of carrot cake - also great. Again, had no idea it was GF until I came here to add a rating. Great quality. Thanks - will definitely come back.

  • Really like the waffles, so hard to find good gf waffles! I was quite shocked that the "tea cake" seems to be heated warburton "fruit buns" from the supermarket you can get 4 for £2.5 here you get 1 for £4.5. I ordered thinking its made fresh like the waffles. Also Suggestion to chef: try poach eggs with less acid so it doesn't become too rubbery.

  • A nice little garden at the back, perfect over the hot weekend - it wasn’t very busy. Coffee and the smoothie arrived quite quickly, food took ages. Avo on toast was delicious, can’t say the same about the taco salad.

  • Perran rates pastries: Roost Godalming Coffee: 4/5 - Great foam and great tasting coffee. Nothing special but would definitely go back again to try more! Pastry: 5/5 - There were some nerves about the carrot cake due to the price and hoping it would be good but it really did not disappoint. Best carrot cake I’ve had in a very long time. The new standard of carrot cake. It was moist, flavoursome and a great portion! Spennyness: 4/5 - £2.50 for an espresso which is good for British prices and £3.30 for a flat white which isn’t awful but the carrot cake was £4 and it was really good so you didn’t mind too much but it isn’t cheap! Overall I’d definitely go back. All the staff were happy, accommodating and friendly!

  • Such a cosy and welcoming place right on the High Street with absolutely delicious gluten free/healthy food! We wanted to eat the entire menu but we’ll have to take a few more visits to do so :) The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about allergies and any dietary needs. The pantry was also well stocked with local/housemade goodies, with some really interesting and unique products. A must visit!

  • My friend is gluten free so this cafe is a dream as its completely GF. We went for lunch and had the roost beans on toast with egg, a dirty chai latte and a slice of polenta cake to share. It was super busy so there was a small wait on food but worth waiting. The portions were quite big so worth knowing about the hlaf potion waffles too.
